Our Favorite La Mesa Patios for Food & Drinks
Now that summer is right around the corner, patio season is officially here! Whether you’re meeting friends for happy hour, grabbing dinner outside on a warm night, or just looking for a good spot to hang for a few hours, there are so many great patio restaurants in and around La Mesa worth checking out. From casual neighborhood pubs to pasta and margarita spots in the Village, these are some of our favorite patios for food, drinks, and soaking up the San Diego weather.
Farmer’s Table

Farmer’s Table is probably one of the first places that comes to mind when people think of outdoor dining in La Mesa. Their large patio in the Village is almost always busy, especially on weekends, and it has a really fun energy without feeling overwhelming. It’s a great spot for brunch, cocktails, dinner with friends, or honestly just sitting outside for awhile people watching. If you go during golden hour or in the evening when the lights come on outside, the whole area feels extra lively.
Curbside Eatery & Drinkery

Curbside is one of those places that works for almost any kind of outing. Casual lunch, game day, drinks with friends, family dinner - it really does a little bit of everything. Their outdoor seating wraps around the restaurant and is especially fun during La Mesa Village events when downtown is packed with people walking around. The menu has a mix of burgers, tacos, sandwiches, and drinks, so it’s an easy group spot when everyone wants something different.
The Hills Local Pub

If you’re looking for more of a laid back local hangout, The Hills is a good one. It has that neighborhood sports bar feel where people stay for awhile, catch a game, and order another round. Limoncello is one of the best spots in the Village for pasta and wine on the patio.
